I'm trying to get a game running that has worked before, but doesn't anymore. Just curious - why don't you want the Control Panel? I tried running InfDefaultInstall.exe both from the admin command line and by right-clicking igdlh64.inf and selecting Install. This should install the driver mostly silently. Pass it a single parameter of the path to the driver's INF file, or write your own INF file for the driver and pass the path as the only parameter. Use InfDefaultInstall.exe (found in System32 folder) I can't say for sure whether this will bypass the Control Panel installer. These will automatically double your graphics drivers count (2>4+) and will require probably 4+ further Intel updates per annum yet they don’t replace the ‘old’ drivers as they’re still loading, staying with those ‘old’ W7-era drivers that would be/must be ‘silently’ patched by WU at almost every opportunity. I'm no expert, but I think that will cause Windows to copy the driver files to whichever location it needs to have them, and register them in its catalogue of drivers. it will set the execution path as the current and will change directories depending on the section of the script, so make sure the batch file is on the root of the usb and folders it switches to are in their respective places according to the script, if not, updated it. It should install the driver without any. You could try opening the Device Manager, selecting the graphics card, and asking Windows to find the device drivers in whichever location you currently have them. The silent install option is usually used by companies or organisations for mass deployment without disrupting users.
